Great family session 2lb 10oz

Me and Cameron headed to the river wear at 10 ish this morning to fish the tide up picked some frozen blacks and 2oz weights from Rutherfords then headed to Ian bellfields for some quality bait
Fished under the arch of the bridge to keep out of the rain

Then moved along to near the white wall with Cameron catching 1st a double shot of a codling and a crab and the start of his species hunt

Not long later I got a codling but about the same size but the blank is out the way then I got another slightly larger
Then as I was putting some lug on I noticed a large white worm in amongst the lug so snapped it in half and tipped both hooks of my 1/0 flapper rig and out it went , within a minute got a cracking bite , in came a nice clean cod of 2lb 10oz which I was over the moon

Not long later Cameron's rod with braid on was nocking away a nice eelpout for his species hunt

When I filleted the cod it had a flatty inside it so does this count as 2 lol
A great day out sweets , fishing and a fish supper for us cheers
