Can any one out there explain the difference/s if there are any :question:between the Greys Platinum XS and the Greys Platinum GSI.

Hi mate, yeah, the GSI has a faster taper / tippier action than the XS. Use the GSI's myself quite a lot - a very good rod IMHO.

I have a GSI and I absolutely love it, my mate has xs and loves that too! apart from what g-force said the other main difference is the price!

sid ive got the xs and if your on the pier tomorrow ill let you have a look at it, good rods, a bit soft on the tip but i love mine.

Quite a few flounders were landed,Tony Taylor had 2 coddling hsf 2lb 8oz I think it was. Fingers crossed that easterly dosent get to naughty

Wasn't planning to fish the pier with a 14' myself,but I have seen lads who do.

i cope fine with my 14' on the pier, it is a bit tight but you get used to it.

I was a bit scaredy of the edge and of knacking it off the back wall on the cast :red:

i was like that at first mate, next time your at the pier watch what i do for casting, ive got it down to a T now. also when i first used it i was shatting my self as im not a good swimmer and i dont like heights and when your standing right on the edge it looks a hell of a long way down especially at low water.
