who do you realy like as a heavy rock guitarist or heavy rock bands
myself the likes of michael schenker
 
Loads of bands mate ranging from Motorhead and AC/DC to System of a Down ,Metallica etc ,not a guitar fan as my brother has been a lead guitarist with bands for years and his practicing at home when I was younger drove me mad .

how about led z,free,journey,black sabbath,guitarists rory galagher unbelievable.mark knopfler brilliant,angus ac/dc the best.
 
hi free bird has got to be the best, watched deep purple at newcasle city hall when i was 18 load of crap ,also watched ufo at mayfair in newcastle about the same time best night out ever.

Used to like Van Halen until Eddie went badly off the rails. Still like Sammy Hagar though, his current band are churning out some decent albums.
 
lead guitarists I would say eric bell, brian robertson, gary moore, scott gorham, john sykes, and they all played for the best band ever as you can see by my avitar....cheers keith

hard one to say, been so many talented players over the years in different styles

jimmy page has got to be up there with the best, gary moore, steve vai, joe satriani, robert Fripp the list goes on

wind the clock back a few decades and the likes of Django Rheinhardt was way ahead of his time and robert johnson pretty much invented the modern syle way back in the 1920's

currently top of my ipod playlist is Rodrigo Y Gabriela - flamenco guitarists that must have bionic fingers fusing flamenco with zeppelin, metallica and the like!
 
hi mark you seem to be on the ball with the guitars,i can listen myself easily to good blues garry moore also slide guitars bloke from boro guy road to hell forgot his name now going to try the last guy you on about mix ,what about track rock bottom by ufo michael scenker takes some beating and slash out of guns and roses now velvet revolver also very good

just goota add this and it may seem stange since i'm a big skynyrd fan but if you listen to some of the toy dolls stuff olga can put a prety mean riff together to:):)
