Well lads had fish an chips with the old fella. parked up by the red light on the Headland and while he had 40 winks i dug 2 score of ragworm.
Dropped him off and coffee round me daughters house then it was back to the Headland.
Fished the beach using the rag and frozen peeler.
Loads of big mussel washed up after recent heavy seas-so shelled a couple and also used for bait.
Caught one pin size coalie and a postage size dab.
Still i did,nt blank and my mate Blackrat came down from Seaham for some company.

A good day all in all------i can,t wait for another month or so when there might be some Cod about.

That Trawler, goin up and down infront of you, about 1000m off will not of helped Mick.

He,s a regular-usually heads up off Crimdon turns around and comes back.

Some rough weather will keep away.

That the red one, called at crimdon yesterday and saw him close in, must be something showing on his fishfinder as he was trawling.

Same trawler does the same circuit regular. Mind he stays a canny way out. Must go over the big mussell beds which are out there.
