Hello lads just got back in. It was murder down the Pool today. Steetly was awash. Waves going right over the end concrete bit. Waves breaking over the middle. Heugh was a complete wash of waves. Middleton looked ok but very windy so settled on the red light. Tucked myself in behind the concrete shed. Fished with a rotten bottom and just as well. Lost 5 sinkers. Part of the upvc cladding on the lighthouse actually got ripped off and flung all over. It really was far to stormy to fish but like a divvy i carried on with another couple of hardy souls.
I did have one bite which i felt pull on the rod but when i struck felt the wieght of something then the hooks were lost. Either a big rock or a big fish.
There was one small tommy caught and one whitie.
Sea was MASSIVE. The rag worm i bought off Charlie at the Friarage was superb stuff.
When this lot settles come Monday there has got to be some fish about.
Now i,m off on Monday ????.

Mick.

Had A Look At The Headland Today, Every Thing You Said Was Bang On, Wait Till It Drops A Bit Then Fish The Jetty Sould Be Loads Of Fish .saw 3 Windswept Lads On The Pilot Pier From The Warmth Of My Car P.s Charlie Always Has Decent Bait

You are a brave sod Mick. Went out in the car with bairns and wife up to South Shields and got out at Marsden for 30 seconds. Bloody windchill was amazing.

Paul that would have been me.
One lad was on the end and i was behind the white building with another bloke.
Three or four lads left looking fed up.Nowt mich doing.
But it was still better than getting dragged round the Metro listening to our lass drone on about losing wieght for her holidays and no clothes fit her.

Mick.

Ian i,ve dropped a hint that i want to again.
I,ll let you know if ok.
Missus reckons weather is still going to be bad.

If this snow keeps up you'll never get out of Consett. Might have been tempted to give it a try myself when it drops back, thinking of having a ride down to the coast tomorrow to see the sea myself, should be an interesting sight if the forecast is correct.

Snow permitting naturally!

Ian,Craig i think Mon looks spot on.

I,m going to sweet talk the missus. Both of you can jump in the Picasso if you want. Some nice bait from Charlies and hopefully Steetly.
Think this will be about the last chance of landing something decent this season-well from the shore at least.
Oh and we won,t have to set off early-high tide 17:30.
After dinner sounds about right.
