hartlepool london rock today

Had a session in the kelp down hartlepool today just left of the huff, had a good few bites then nothing as soon as water turned I got 3 small codling out, nothing big but a good mornings fishing...two of three returned as one was knocked of deep hook..

Walk down the ramp right of the cannon and look straight out to sea and you will see two sceers, there is another shot if you walk round towards the light house, this shot is just down the left side of the pier...

Mark this was the biggest of 3 but only just over 1lb lol ans to make it worse I give it to the ferrets haha they love fish been getting fed better than me fresh rabbit, macki and this codling, healthiest ferrets in north east...just gotta find that winter balance between out fishing and out ferreting!!

I dunno mate these days the tofs think eating rabbit is fashionable, like there making an effort on the carbon footprint lol

its also a good mark at high water.

fish from the end of the wall on the top of the pier. a 60 - 80yd lob drops you in the gully.

a popular mark years ago but rarely fished now and better after a good blow.

ive had lots of good fish from there, over 25years ago . its not a spot for lots of fish and 1 or 2 to 5lb was the most you,d get.

this time of year like most rock marks it will have lots of tiddlers.
