I've got a cree t6 as well. 17 quid with mains charger car charger and 2 batteries. You can buy extra batteries as well.

As said carnt go wrong with those cree head lights uve had one for 3yr never had a problem with it so id say get a cree they are good.

I know these are pretty heavy full but a second hand Tiga SL could be worth a shout for under £100, I've had mine 10 years and it's still going strong......

You may be able to get one for under £100 if you search about...

I Gary I've got a couple of 1800 zoomable can't beat them for the money as you say the only draw back is you get no warning

I'd second that - I got through the entire winter last year on the one set of alkaline batteries that came with it! (mind you, I tend to use the lowest setting most of the time & the second setting is plenty to find my way around on the rocks). Order from UK (to avoid nasty copies) for next day delivery:
