hi lads any help for a 9 year old fishing from shore in north west side.

I’ve not fished up there very much and don’t know many marks. Start by having a look at Loch Etive which has boats for hire or you can shore fish for doggies and the odd bigger fish. Further up, Loch Carron is worth a look, head towards the boat landing towards the seaward end of the loch. On the north side of the peninsula is some cracking deeper water that’s worth a look for Pollock and mackerel in the summer.
If you really want an adventure and travel, take the ferry to Harris or Lewis and look at some of the shore fishing for skate in the sea lochs. Landing one of those monsters is going to be challenge for anyone, not just a 9 year old.
