dont park in the estate, park in the side street or the hotel and walk round.
50+ yards you be ok, either the middle or the end fishes best but watch out for the big tides but you be ok this week
Ozzjohn, advice for parking is maybe the little beach carpark near to the end of the Groyne and a 5min walk around or you can get down the side of the new estate and park near to the Yaght Club entrance (which is where I go). Don't park in the estate as there is a knacker resident who likes giving Anglers grief and keying cars.
The mark itself is decent but gets hammered with a decent tide run so if it is a large tide fish it a couple ov hours either side of high or low water. Best spots usually past the wooden groyne up to the far end....
Casts of 50-75m will see you clear of most snags (I aint lost a set of gear there in about my last 5/6 trips.... think the summer dredgers have cleared a lot of the s$$t away..... well worth a shot.
head up towards the tyne tunnel go over testos r,about take the 2nd slip rd and turn right at the r,about onto the a 194 and head towards south sheilds and follow signs for seafront when you get to the seafront park in the littlehaven hotel car park which is situated next to the groyne and the walkway is the housing estate at the start of the tyne
Best place to fish on the walkway is straight in front of the disabled ramp cast as far as you can best bait is crab or runnydown had loads of cod from this Mark
