think yev got to tick the receipt box before you send the message mate otherwise it's gone forever unless you get a reply like, then it's there

Yup, write your message and scroll down down to "additional options" and tick this box :

Save a copy of this message in your Sent Items folder.

Then send and hey presto, your message is saved.
