Hi aye got sum 50lb braid to day was wondering if wood be any good on a mag 525 multiplyer ?

pete iv always said i wouldnt use it, but i rekon if ya put a canny leader on with it, itll fly out, would only use it on clean beaches tho, no good for the rock marks. trail and error is the way forward

i would put a bit leccy tape on me thumb to start off with scotty till your reels tuned

50lb braid is a bit thin on a multi with out a level wind m8 4 the shore, i use 80lb power pro on a 6,500 multi with a level wind with no probs & also use the same braid on a slosh 20 with out level wind the 80lb power pro is around the diam of 18lb mono & casts like a dream so no need 2 wack it out because thats when u start 2 get probs & it will take ya finger end off if in the way.
make sure that the braid is round because u can also get the flat braid that cuts in2 itself on the spool no good 4 casting but ok on a boat with no casting.

Spot on power pro is the bees knees! Lovely braid for multis

yes bud it'll be spot on make sure you have a little bit mono backing and a shock leader on youll feel every thing on the braid

aye dean ive been using the sonic on my 525 mag2 it s mint

i put power pro 60lb on my 525 2 last week for rough ground with a 60lb shocker and planned to use it in the rough in the amble open but the conditions dictated flatty bashing and i used it at duridge bay and worked great i just put the mags on full at first

Personally i would'nt put it on as i had braid on my 525mag and it beds itself down into the spool when you have a little bit of weight on it, i gave the braid to another guy fishing on pier and he uses a fixed spool reel and has had no probs at all, Hope this helps.
