Looking for as many names as possible to try to stop the closure of the tax office in Alnwick, with the loss of a good few jobs and a bigger loss to the local economy.

Please help the cause by signing the petition.

Petition to: keep a fully staffed HMRC office open in Alnwick, Northumberland.

done Tony, but wouldnt it be better if they shut them all, then MP's couldnt buy a second houses with our money. they must need the money they spend on Alnwicks local ofice to decorate somebody's second house, makes your blood boil, come the revolution.

its a shame the poeple of this country
did,nt sign to save the mines in the north east ,

HMRC has decided to close the Alnwick office regardless of any objections or arguments.

The staff were formally told on wednesday that HMRC were looking to get everyone out by spring 2009.

The nearest office for those that have transport is Longbenton.

Thanks to those who signed the petition, but it was ultimately futile.

Yeah i must say that Sless is spot on ,i signed it but they never U turn do they ,still we must let them know our feelings.
