Fished the end where the ramp is. Around 150 mins before high tide to well after.
Sea was flat, a gentle swell only and I used a lighter rod because of that. Sonik SKS with a FS reel and 30lb braid.
Bait was rag in a squid blanket.
Bites were coming at me from all angles but it was just a single snatch then nothing. No time to strike into anything.
Still managed a very small codling, a decent pound and a half coalie and 10" shore rockling. No-one was into much of anything though. No whities being caught or anything of a good size.
2 species to add to my list though with the coalie and rockling.
This is my 4th trip out using braid and I just love it. Bite detection is spot on and I managed to pull free from a couple of snags that I would probably have lost on the usual 15lb mono.
