fished it often in the early 80`s great fishing,fished the kilmun jetty until the ferrys came in and as said climbed across on to the last one to fish,there was a america guy had something to do with it,he used to leave the toilets open on the ferry on a night,great bloke,unfortunately this mark was lost to us after another group of anglers thought it would be a good laugh to untie the ferrys,also unfortunately north east anglers , one tale to,one of the lads was into photography big lenses the lot,thought he would take a few pics of the american floating dry dock with submarine in it, within 20 minutes two of the biggest yank mp`s arrived and informed him that it was a politically sensitive area and that he had to hand over his film,after a brief discussion about it being his property,the mps informed him that they had orders to confiscate the film,needless to say the film was handed over and a receipt gave for him to be reimbursed the cost of the roll of film,still remember him later ..... didnt have to give them it ya kna ... had visions of him being turned upside down on the kilmun jetty and shook ...
