After visiting my daughter in Hartlepool today lads decided on a few hours at Horden. Was lovely and pleasant day,

Sea was flat but kept alternating rigs and baits hoping to pick up something decent unfortunately I only go small stuff.

Long walk back up the path to the motor but was nice to try somewhere different and good practice for Sunday.
Tight lines Mick.

Pleasant little session for you Mick. That drop down still looks a problem. Someone told me some time back that it was just a couple of feet again.

never fished it mick so nice to see what the place looks like.
Like you said good practice for the seaham open on Sunday" got a ticket for the s/land open last saturday at nets.

I used to enjoy going there till cars got damaged

I used to fish there with my granda as a young lad 30 years ago. Even then he never parked at the car park but we always walked down from the viaduct; those that risked it would regularly come back to smashed windows and nicked steroes (or worse).

Park in any isolated, dark and deserted place and your car is at risk and has been for as long as I've fished (30 years plus) and no doubt longer. It's not that much more of a walk up to the viaduct and once you reach the car park it is mostly flat going anyway.

Oh and it looked like a nice afternoon out there Mick; fishing in daylight and flat seas any fish is a bonus but as always it beats being at graft or sitting at home

I was talking to an old boy down there last week, he was saying he had fished horden for 30+ years, always parked in the car park and had no bother. But ya takes ya chance I suppose.

I came back to my car one sunday afternoon and had a half house brick on the passenger seat and no glass in the drivers side , doors still locked and nothing taken , just for kicks - well done whoever you were , white Vauxhall carlton around 15 years ago .

I would not leave car in bottom car park. I leave mine in estate up past viaduct. Bit of a walk but good exercise.
Bob you can get on the beach easily as there is a cut right in the middle as u walk down the black path. I even manage to get up ok and I was fishing 50 yards to the right of the cut.

I that's why the glass and scorch marks on the Tarmac mean Nowt goes on housing estate for me all the time, at 35 Clem I need the exercise I can get these days.
