Don’t normally post our results any more due to the fact that every time I post

Our beach gets gill netted off. But hear goes..



Mark Thompson had a cracking cod of 13lb 4oz to win our match on Sat night

Darren Almond was 2nd with a cod of 5lb 14oz

And Ron Smith was 3rd with a cod of 4lb 10oz





I can honestly say it was the worst conditions I’ve ever fished in, with a thick layer of ice coating your rod, reel and coat.

Walking head into that sleet and snow was like sticking your head into a sand blaster.

Half the lads abandoned the match within half an hour and went home.

So hats off to the lads that stopped and slugged it out..

i was on seaham north drum on sat night.

the conditions were bad like you say

there was a 2 inch layer of pure ice round the front of the light house, seen nowt like it.

didnt stop me from having a comfortable session, managed some huge whiting and odd small cod, no lunkers!

i might of done better on the blast, some cracking cod there sean.

Its a nightmare from shields pier too, i think thats why their has been so many people dissapointed by that place this year... me being one of them.

Select few destroy the sport for masses! just makes you really angry! all for a quick quid!

you are right seen them with thier gill nets on monday we have no chance got some nice whiteys though 1lb 5 and 1lb4 the 2 biggest 1,s but no pigs we should all have milan rocket launchers and blow them out the water lol human greed.
