just to let you know i am back, had a cracking time staying at a lovely quiet place in Tinajo, Lanzarotte, spent most mornings down in a small harbour at Coasta Teguise fishing for mullet and all sorts of bream. The fish below made a very substantial meal, had a bream for a late breakfast early lunch one day just to see what they tatsed like, very nice but nowhere near as nice as mullet

place we stayed at had two of the weirdest dogs i have seen, but what characters, the biggest hda a habit of opening doors, owners had to keep most doors locked so he she couldnt get out

Glad you had a great time Alan, I think you have missed the best of the fishing reports. But i hope i am very wrong .

mark, do you not think that is a bit of an insult to the dog, she was very intelligent.
Gazza place had everything you needed, piles of dvds, cds, tele, well that is on the odd occassions you needed them. Loads of great eating places, the owner Chris will tell you where the best traditional one is, but if you go there and the restaurant owner suggests a T Bone steak "dont" a lad staying at the same place did and he nearly passed out when he saw the size of it, and he had been to America a lot and never seen one like it. What he left made the meat course for four the next night at a BBQ.
Great fun with the mullet Ian, except when they decided to knit on pearl two with the mooring ropes. Lost a agood un when i was taking it to land it along the breakwater, landing net mesh gave up the ghost and it came off in the breakers. Would suggest little drop net or long handled landing net. Had a day at Orzola harbour, had three or four around 2-3lb when a big un took off under the boats and all the ropes at a great rate of knots, never to be seen again.

Alan a few of us are off to Gambia on the 26th....chasing fifty punders.......no doubt Micky Quale will post some fine pics...;)

Glad you had a good holiday...

hello alan
as you look out over the water in c t its the furthest breakwater to the left.
the sands beach hotel is a complex which has its own little beach inside.
most people fish the breakwaters next to cucharas square but they are all fishing for the same fish so i go to the other one.
if im lucky enough to go to weigh in on sunday i,ll have a bit crack with you.
