Or; MY AGE TODAY!!

I celebrated by taking the day off work and going fishing. I travelled down to Holderness very early this morning and fished the flood tide up and about an hour into the ebb.

Started fishing at 3.30 just in time to watch a cracking sunrise but this was short lived as a couple of hours later it started tipping down which meant that climbing back up the cliffs at Hilston became a military exercise and I looked like a mud monster when I got to the top! ( I've spent the rest of the day washing the "clarts" off my gear).

Birthday or not the fishing was pretty uneventful but I saw a fox, loads of bats, and listened to the skylarks as the sun came up.
Better than being at work and I had a look at a new place I want to try so a canny day off all things considered.

It sounds like a perfect day Ian. Fish are over rated and life gets complicated if you catch one these days! Best to just enjoy your day. Fishing rules, catchig sucks
