Dave M mentioned it elsewhere, I\'d like to have a little poodle at the subject meself. It looks like they\'re going to try to introduce them again, probably wrapped up in some war on terror bullshit. How dare they. From what I\'ve heard there is going to be little public consultation on the matter. The word seems to be \"we will be introducing ID cards soon\" They are absolutely gagging to do it, both sides. The amount of information they have on us these days is terrifying. Their ability to tap our phones, read our e-mails, search our persons and enter out properties is unprecedented. We are THE MOST WATCHED country in Europe full stop. The argument \"If you\'ve got nothing to hide then you shouldn\'t be concerned\" is absolute tripe. \"If we\'ve got nothing to hide then why are you watching us you peen arses\" makes more sense to me. If that bitter and twisted little get Blunkett tries it on I suggest we respond with a big \"NO THANKS\". (For no thanks read .. fuck you you fucking cunt)

Ell,to be honest i have\'nt got a problem with id cards,if it makes our country 1% safer then i\'am for it,god forbid that we have a 9/11,Bali Club or a Madrid style attack in this country. We seem to have some sort of peace in Ireland at the minute so we don\'t have a threat from the I.R.A etc (maybe its not politically correct to fundraise for them in the States anymore ! ).
illegal imigrants are systematically ripping off the state along with many other people,i agree that the government must hold there hands up on this one i somehow don\'t think I.D cards will stop people coming into this country through the backdoor.
I think there\'s alot of pro\'s and con\'s on this one m8

There are pro\'s and cons to be considered Alan. If we want to put a fucking extension onto our tiny houses a long and drawn out process of consultation is entered into. Interested parties are allowed to represent their points of view, old ladies with hats complain about the noise etc. This is about to be dropped on us from a great height. How come we\'ve managed without ID cards in the past. And alan, are you 100% legal in every way shape and form, before now and ever after. You may find your goodself on the wrong end of this shitty stick if we let them get away with it.

I thought about contributing to this post and said no. Then I thought about it and said no again, then it was the reason that you think that we seem to have some sort of peace in Ireland. Sorry alan.f I had to reply, Ask Mr Blair why our newspapers are banned from reporting, why our troops are still getting stoned, bombed and spit upon, It does not matter what lies he tells we are banned from hearing about it. I am not on any side here, my argument is about censorship.

I have taken two lines of dialogue from this post as I do not wish to compromise Tony, and I do not wish to get banned from this forum.

Sorry just removed another line.

Sorry Tony, It hit a sore point. It\"s been a bad night.

Jim.

Lol Jim.

It\'s ok, m8 - I realise that some topics can hit a raw nerve and stir up peoples emotions - nowt wrong with that.

Life\'s been far too easy for the site admin on NESA......lol

Ell.......that\'s NOT your cue, m8.....lol :exclam:

Ell they are not going to have any dialogue on any issue you care to mention mate.

Whatever we say does not make one Iota.

The only thing we have in our favour is, the man is not going to be there much longer. Unless we keep on voting for monkey\"s in the N.E.

\"Maybe I should put those missing lines in then ;lol\"

Yep, why not?

I can always remove \'em if necessary - chances are, I wouldn\'t need to.

No sorry mate they will stay here.

I have a belief that I can always manage to censor myself, If I mess up I will have to live with it.

JUST WISH SOME OF OUR NEWSPSPER EDITORS COULD DO THE SAME.

Working here in Brazil means that I have a Brazilian residency card which is also an ID card with photo fingerprint and passport number also my parents name on it

are you 100% legal in every way shape and form, before now and ever after. You may find your goodself on the wrong end of this shitty stick if we let them get away with it.
Ell think i\'ll drop this one m8 lmfao.

sorry about that earlier question Alan a bit personal and the answer was obvious anyway. ;)

I must not post when pissed, i must not post when pissed, I mstu not pist when post, (Try typing thot when your pist)

Some good points raised though and BEWARE , I have worked (And still do) in a hell of a lot of counties and believe me your \"Rights\" are VERY fragile indeed . The I.D card is the thin end of the wedge on a road to to a big brother state . And do NOT fall in to trap of it will not happen here , this is England , it can . The worrying thing about it all is , it\'s a \"Labour\" party that\'s doing it .

The people that fought for our rights must be turning in their bloody graves :( :( :(

I will not subscribe to an ID card. I will not carry one if legally obliged to and I will happily spend time in the chokey for this infringement on my rights. Blunkett is a fascist. As well as making them compulsory, if you read the white paper thats doing the rounds, they will not be free! you will have to pay for them yourelves, out of your own pocket and a figure of 70 quid has been mooted! 70 quid in to the company that will supply the mart card technology.

Smart cards with 8 meg of ram on board - thas a lot of data. Next step will be dna profiling to be held on the card!

the smart card technology they are proposing is based on a passive RF emmision. What this means is, that like the security tags in shops it can be detected. As it carries a unique ID it can be tracked. What we are talking here is ultimately a system where you might as well have a radio beacon strapped to your nut, broadcasting your movements 24/7.

F U C K EM

9/11 is just an excuse, war on terror my arse. This is just the type of control that bin laden is fighting against.

I am innocent (mostly) and I have nothing to hide (occasionaly) so up yours tony and your nepotistic Junta. You wanna make me carry a card you\'ll have to get your nice peace keeping officers to kick me in the kidneys repeatedly using the \'he fell down the stairs whilst resisiting arrest\' scenario

Yes I\'m back off me hols, and no I didn\'t have a good time
