first of all dont compare me to nonces or we will fall out.second most beginners read sea angler and read best place to get advice is local tackle dealers magazines and internet sites so i try local dealers and to be honest get what im looking for pleasent advice on rigs and marks from a rutherford which happens to be a good angler( match results in echo) not licking arse, just thats how i know from reading thurs echo. then i read mags which i get what i can out of it, then i come on here ask some advice thinking its a community, tell people what i've heard (just like everyone else) and get slaterd for it. it seems some indaviduals dont like certain people and i cant help that but i can assure yous i will not visit this again (maybe to just see if i have support of other users)

Do not be offended by the remarks of one individual...if you are genuine then fair does - things seem to have given you a very bad impression understandably

This is, by and large, a very freindly website - in my short time here I've met a few of the lads and even fished with them. There is an abundance of help and knowledge available to you if you want it.

why stop using this website ?
some of us on here genuinely try to help and give good advice if possible.
i replied to your original post, and gave advice to the best of my ability.
i'm stumped as to why all that crap kicked off last night, bang out of order if u ask me.
stick with us you will find it is a good little community but obviously as in life things kick off now and again sometimes without any foundation.
 
mate i have been on this site for quite a while now ,yes there is plenty of banter and most of it taken and given in good will,dont let one guy spoil it for you cause then he has won and you have lost out!!!every one has to learn and 99% of the guys on here will go out of there way to help anyone on most subjects about fishing ,we all had to learn some where.cheers john
 
i have noticed people getting touchy i dont post too much for this very reason. I like this site Most people are Good People but the mods here need to Slap a few back into there correct place.

Dont let the B_ _ _ _ _ _ s get you down m8 :o

We've had members in the past rejoin under different usernames with sole aim of bitching & slagging off people they don't get along with. It's sometimes difficult to determine if some of the posts are banter between mates or people having digs at others. I'm guessing Charlie has rightly or wrongly assumed this is the case with you Sloshed, don't be offended.

Jim and a few of the mods are on their hols at the moment, but the few who are online are watching out for the members who join just to cause trouble - They will be banned!

Play nice now! ;)

can the Mods trace IP addresses?
 
ere mate dont let no one get u all worked up on stupid topics and remarks , ive had my fair share in the past off a certain member yes that guy knows who im on about,the best way is who ever it is you arnt happy with just add them to your ignore list in user cp ,and you wont see what they say .

Pointless tracing IP with dynamic IP every time they logg off for 30 mins they would get a new IP addy. Also there is a marked difference between FRIENDLY banter and outright having a go. People that cross the line should be punished. Friendly banter should be Encouraged

Banter was an issue when I was in the Forces. Mostly done for fun and high spirits, but in some cases went too far
 
I am on the Consett forums as chief wigham!(DON,T TELL ANYONE)
Great at first then i found people digging away at cops.
I came off it in the end,had enough of all the kicking and slagging off aimed at Durham police.
Personally i don,t know who has upset who on this forum but for an isolated incident its a shame to chuck the cards in.
The only bitching i have seen over on this forum was the use and tying of flys and that was handbags at dawn.(think it was this forum)
Moderators on Consett forums can warn you or even kick you off.
People still come back using different addresses.

I personally would not pack in because of one incident.
