well lads I am struggling for a story for the Journal on Friday, anybody got one, been outfished by your kids, or your partner, or have you actually caught a fish, weather and time of year are just not condusive for good catches

me apprentice caught fish over the weekend a few fish to 4lb and the next night a couple of codling too 3lb all on slack water also a dab he rekons very close to a 1lb a pb erm that was roker mind

hes now a fully fledged angler and not thee apprentice he has even beat my best this year on hes double

someone caught a 34cm brill from the wear on a lure at the weekend, pretty rare

one of the forum lads craig todd caught a flounder on a float the other day at the rubber factory at n/sheilds
never heard of a flattie being caught on a float before

i caught a flounder whilst float fishing the Wheel on Shields pier, was a belter on light gear, unfortunatly this was a couple of years ago so no story here Alan, sorry.

Blackrat and few of the lads fished compo today on Wear near a19. 8 fish caught. Poor because of amount of water in river. I could not make compo.
