info on the ratty and roker pier needed

me and my mate might be going to the ratty and roker on saturday night he's fished there before but i haven't can any one tell me the best spots,casting distance, baits, rigs etc

You can also fish between the piers when its rough and catch codling...

hi mate its worth a shot any where on the pier really but the most notable spots are the barrier and the roundhead, you can find the barrier just before the first set of steps, both the seaward side and the inshore side are very rocky and kelpy so i would ad vise you to use rotton bottoms, the ares in between the sets of steps is the same as above anf from the last set of steps up on to the rounhead is fairly clean ground

as for the rathouse its mainly whities and flatties fishing into the river with the odd codling, for a better chance of a codling fish into the bay off the ramp or the end, this is fairly snaggy too and like jinbob says the beach in between is worth a shot too
