Is a liecence needed on Roker Pier

Hi, never been on Roker Pier, do I need a Liecence, and where do I leave the car,coming from Hetton

no licence needed in salt water mate, knock yaself out! couldn't tell ya about parking though someone else will fill ya in with that. good luck!

There's car parks mate which you can use during the day but they lock the gate at nights. If you are fishing at night drive along the single track road towards the pier and just before you reach the pier there is the old floor from where some buildings were demolished on your left you can park on there.

Can't park on there at the minute, it's fenced off, they're using it as a depot for the work they are doing on the prom. and with all the work they are doing, i reckon they'll probably renovate that spot now.

If you drive further along that road there are a couple of little spots without double yellows and there are some good disabled badge only spaces (was tempted to park there last night, doubt they check after half 6, but found a different spot instead).

The main car parks are free but get locked up at 10pm
