hi, has any one been to whithorn lately or know if theres much catching, going up on wednesday n staying the night then coming back thursday cos got work thursday night, let u no how it goes and some pics.
 
a couple of mates went there a couple of weeks. ago they had about 70 pollock between the two of them in one day. but most of the fish were undersize.
 
yeah a seen the mullet in there last time down by harbour wall, i wasn gonna even try n catch one tho, 1 dint have small enough hooks or 4lb line n 2nd haven got the patience lol, just gonna go for pollock n doggies this time n maybe wrasse cos got bout 12 crab off a mate
 
well car's all packed ready to leave about 7am, if i have no luck spinning or floating for pollock am gonna try get some doggies, a fancy a challenge by using a 2 hook flapper n see if i can get 2 on same cast. are they still as present as couple year ago??????????
 
was at whithor last year with stepen and a m8 it mite of been this time last year was any amounts of doggies n pollack and wrasse like so good luck shud be doggies there
 
cheers brash m8, am up n aving cup coffee then picking me m8 p then setting off, its gonna rain all day up there but me skins waterproof lol so not letting rain put me off. will post report when get back,
 
went last winter it is rubbish but go every summer and it is a live with fish

pollock
coalfish
mackrel
dogfish
mullet [on the pier]
and the odd bull and ray
 
sorry Andrew, there is some very good fishing at Whithorn in the winter if you know where, just not the species you get in summer.
