Hi lads, picked col up at 7.30am and got out fishing for about 8.45am,sea was nice and flat but sea was a minging chocholate colour so not expecting much,we headed out 7.5 miles and water was still not clear, first drop and col was into maki for bait and after about 20 mins a 8.5lb ling on the maki flapper, the day was hard
,very hard going, col hit into 1 cod about 3lb and a 5lb ling for myself, returned at 3.30pm and sadly that was it for our efforts,we tried every thing in the box but not ment to be,it felt like we were burning fuel and wasting our time, but nice to get out again. It was one of the hardest days yet for me and col, forgot to mention we got a couple of whitey on a close in wreck on the way in but two small to keep,I suppose we all get those days or we have been spoilted in the past, who knows?..Can't wait till the water clears up abit.
