Stuck my head out the door at 5.00 and it was lashing down, but i was up so what the hell :rolleyes:

Headed out at 5.45 and anchored up off the rough ground with 2 rods out, baited with quality Asda mackerel, 3 year old frozen crab and frozen squid :rolleyes:
not a touch for an hour so hauled in and headed for a nearby wreck...:cool:

Had 4 or 5 drifts over the wreck with a full squid lashed on and a couple of drifts with Asda's finest on.......not a touch....:rolleyes:

After 2 hours i gave up fishing and had a bit reccy on the rough ground and found 3 nice bits of rough to anchor over next time out, so not a fruitfull trip after all.

Still nice to get out for a couple of hours, but with no fresh bait i didnt have much faith anyway, funny time of year this, maybe another month and the spring run should start :)

As i came in Allan and Davey ( Endeavour16 and DaveyP ) were on their way out, and they promised to have a biggun for the H/F Comp.......stay tuned..:D:rolleyes:

Unlucky Chris.

Three weeks today is our first trip of the year. Warlord out of Amble. Do you think we need fresh bait then at this time of year? What do you suggest? Rag and Lug?

Three weeks today there are massive swells and gales forcast Mark :o

Only joking :D.....best to ring the skipper and see whats doing best at the time :)...hopefully the fishing will be better then so you can give Lynn a bit of competition..;)

Haha, rat!! My heart sank there for a moment! :o

Think I will need to book bait from Norma at Amble, so will phone Jeff for some advice. I seem to remember 3 years ago whole prawns on daylites worked on Warlord.

Guess what we didn't have!? :mad:

Up to that day I had never heard of such a bait!
 
Same for me chris! Nothing at all lol got a bit too choppy to stay out at anchor and the water was like gravy so didn't even attemp any wrecks
 
exelent.....no fish..:D

but a nice day for a cruise and a bit of recon on the grounds tho..:)

3 weeks till the storms start...jonah is on his way down..;)
 
Aye...no fish Rob...but i've still got those in the freezer me and Deano caught last year....can you remember that day....:D:D;)

Mark has asked them at the caravan site to make sure the gas bottle is full, as he will be spending a week watching the telly :D:D

Ha bloody Ha! I'm going to take Rob's Pollack record on North Star, have a cracking day on the Cod with Duncan on Warlord and maybe sneak out on a wee private and go to the top of the boat challenge.

So there............. :)
 
unlucky its just not fishing at the moment
but you have to get out there to get them wont be long now
was going to go out on the yak today but with the fishing as it is and the bit chop i couldnt get my ar%e out of my chair:D

the clear water and the fish will be soon jeff
 
Unlucky Chris, another boat out but the same old story from the past few weeks. The fishing and weather must get better soon.
