Just an idea - NESA magazine

Maybe this isn't the right place to post but -

After reading YoursT's post and many others on NESA and every other fishing forum I go on re: Fishing magazines.

Why don't we do our own - monthly, quarterly, bi-thingymely. We'd need an editorial team (Mods perhaps) lots of work but ........

Any member could submit longer posts / articles and the tip top ones could be packaged up into a separate area and read like a mag. Anything not appearing there woud still be posted in a different place anyway (I'm not suggesting we get all German about this but it would mean the magazine bit would be diferrent to the normal forum. There's experts here, match men and women, beginners, old timers, normal anglers, wreck masters, tackle dealers, gob****es, politicians, photographers, poets, conservationists, comedians, charvas -

I'm sure we could come up with a topper read, up to date, fresh as owt and free from commercial considerations. The forum does this anyway but ya get me drift about the mag thing. It can have pictures as well and that - video - dancing polar bears the lot.

cracking idea charlie
also would be good to have a diff north east mark in it every month e.g. lynemouth one month next king eddys bay and so on (obvs leave south of the tyne till last lol)

Already the content is swinging far to much in one direction - Sea Angler has a problem with too many articles about down south - NESA's magazine - before it has already been really thought of has been flooded with dancing animal material.

like you said charlie thats that bit sorted i am sure there will be more dancing animals put on here. wallsendo will be looking at somemore right now. lol the magazine will have to be about dancing and singing animals not fishing. lol :D:D:D

We could have every north east mark in it if someone did a piece - we could have owt we want in it. If it's worth proceeding with then one of the many things to be done is to settle on a recognisable format like what regular features would be in - suggestions on a beaver skin please :yltype:

Ok then lets make a magazine about singing animals then and maybe we will get articles on fishing :p:D

Singing fish would be a better idea

Shirley Bassey -

.........

Tunny and Cher
The Average Whiting Band
howLING Wolf
Sandeel Shaw
John Lennon (Sole)
Tuna Stubbs (right that's me done)

You know the drill

the polar bear wasnt dancing, any animal that has been kept in close confinement without any stimulation does this because of stress.
I would just like to say Charlie came up with a good idea, even though there is room on the site already for articles of any discription about angling, and I hate to say it this has been the problem with many threads, WHY DONT YOU STICK TO THE THREAD, if you want to post dancing bears etc there is a place for it. This is one thing that has pxssxed people off in the past from posting.

To be fair Alan I mentioned dancing polar bears first.

And any Thread I start is also fair game in the light of my posting patterns. Didn't check the links but any real video of a dancing bear has got to be dodge.

Alan you could edit the fella? Even though you do eat jellyfish!

In seriousness I agree that an archive of user submitted online articles would be very good indeed...apologies for spamming ;) but as Charlie T said he made it fair game :p:D

Any volunteers for the project? Everyone's a potential writer but it would need a little crew to sort it out. Got to work out a democratic ding dong etc. I'd volunteer but it would seem necky and I'm a total lunch out.

Game fishing people whinge constantly about the quality of mags available and there's a whole heap of them - one thing that is always spoken of in hushed tones with the utmost respect is "Waterlog" I believe it is because it sort of concentrates on proper stories. Everyone loves it when a catch report is not just a location and a number of fish caught. That's what our thing could do IMO. plus all the other stuff
