Kayak Hire
Kayak Hire
This is a link for my mate Ians place on Prudhoe Street:
North East Canoe Kayak and Adventure
I think most of his s.o.t.'s are fitted for angling. They're certainly top quality kit and if you check out this:
North East Canoe Kayak and Adventure - Grand Opening
you'll be able to see some of the boats he's got on offer.
By the way I'm "Rancid Badger" over there
I reckon it's an ideal set up for anyone fancying a sot for fishing or just paddling,as already suggested: "try before you buy" he's got a few inflatable boat carrier things as well so you don't even need a roof rack fitted.
If a few lads got together, you could hire a different boat each and swap around to get the feel of the different sizes etc.
The 4 I paddled were all very good but I decided to go with a Perception Freedom for my first boat, with a view to learning the ropes.
Then maybe next year, upgrading to either a shakespeare 145/Emotion grand slam or possibly an Ocean Kayak of some description( need to paddle a few OK's first)
If anyone does fancy a group booking/test paddle or whatever; give me a shout, as I'd love to join you. I've not yet had the chance to get out for my first salt water trip with the Freedom yet so getting out with a group would be great:red:
Oh! He's going to be selling these boats as well ( hopes to anyway)
hope this has been helpful
cheers
Steve
