Kayaks

Just got back from the North East Sea Angling and Boat Show.
Anyone interested in Kayaks should get along and take a look at the stand BROOKBANK CANOES and KAYAKS.
What a selection they have. I counted 12 they had on display, plus everything else you would need for Kayaking, from rod holders to waterproof suits.
They even have a Kayak there with a pedal prepulsion system. I sat in it and it was pure comfort, with slung back seat, drink bottle, fitted tackle box, live bait well, fish measure, and every thing else you could think of.
This stand alone is worth a visit, but the show has something for everyone.
Even NESA's own Dave Store is on site for the shore angler to purchase a copy of "the Codling Crouch" and get it autographed by Dave. A great stocking filler for Christmas.
Hope to see you all there on Sunday.
If you cant get along to the show check out thier web site at www.brookbankcanoesandkayaks.co.uk

Thanks Mike

Brookbanks are a canny outfit, got my first yak from them over at Carlisle

Might get along still to have a look

Believe me....if the seas big go to the pub instead as yup they can ride the big seas with ease but you will need a clean pair of dudds afterwards as its scary stuff..
Good fun though :-)

Anyhow...use Powerhouse Marine in Swalwell for your kayak things as Sarah who works there can source you kit often much cheaper than you can get elsewhere....I got my Palm Kaiakora life jacket £139 RRP for £100...had to wait a couple of days but hey...£39 is better in my pocket.

thats a good deal steve toonbay {neil} has one looks a good bit of kit
was looking at 1 at the boat show they could only get the price down to £120 so didnt buy 1 so might have a look up there jeff un less neil got his cheaper :D

Im sure Sarah will sort you one out....they have some good kit and if they havent got it they will order it in for you.
Mine is a brilliant bit of kit and as its safety gear i dont mind forking out the extra...
Will be checking the forecasts over the next few weeks and soon as we get a good spell of calm i will pop a post on and whoever is up for it can join us for a paddle.

Steve
