After a really stressful last 2 months (wedding, moved house, only team leader at work who\'s not on the sick) and then a speeding ticket last night  I thought things would settle down.........yeah, right...........I only go and have a mini stroke this morning :(

It still hasn\'t sunk in yet, I\'m only 39, I\'ve never smoked in my life, eat really healthy and drink 3 litres of water a day, tend to drink in moderation (nowadays) and exercise whenever I have the time.

Now I\'m stuck in the house resting up, waiting for an appointment for the stroke clinic, taking my aspirin to hopefully stop another one and not allowed to drive for a while.

On a more positive note, it\'s really scared the sh*t out of me and I\'ll no doubt appreciate life that little bit more from now, just makes me wonder what more I could have done to prevent it

:o Hopefully it\'s just been brought on through the stressful times you\'ve had going on and you\'ll get back to normal soon m8 - Take care!!

might not be as bad, as its all to easy to believe, my dad has had a bout a dozen of em over the years... he\'s 90 in october!

bit of a bugger all the same though, hope it all turns out ok, at least there\'s the footy to watch for the next month

aye rob same goes for me get well soon ;) , not been fuuny or owt like that but i sometimes wonder wether all this healthy way of living is that good for us
take it steady though and get yourself sorted ;)

Bloody hell mate, really sorry to hear that. Hope you have a quick recovery with no more of them. We have a lot more fishing dates to keep in the future mind. Get well soon.

Jim.

\"only team leader at work who\'s not on the sick\"

Was. Take it easy and think of yourself, they\'ll still find someone to do the work.

\'Kinel, Rob - you just NEVER know what\'s waiting for you !

Take care, m8 and I\'m sure you\'ll make a complete recovery.

Are you on a full asprin or half a tablet?

Thanks for all the \"Get Well Soons\" peeps, it\'s appreciated :D

I\'m on a 75mg dose of aspirin Tony, but that\'s just a precautionary measure until I get my appointment at the stroke clinic, then they\'ll know better what caused it and how to treat it etc (at least I\'m hoping they will :o )

I\'m feeling OK at the minute, no numbness, pins and needles, walking funny or slurred speech, but I still keep getting a bit mixed up when I\'m talking and lose my train of thought easily (probably perfectly normal?)

Our lass took me out in the car yesterday and I got really disorientated while we were driving, so I\'m glad they had advised me not to drive for a while, as I would have probably not realised until I was moving. At least I\'m just a stones throw from the beach and the parks now, so I can get myself out for a walk (beats the hell out of watching daytime telly :casstet: )

nowt wrong with daytime tele Rob......The Match is on later :D
pleased your ok mate and keep us updated on your progress ;)
