Anyone recomend me a good starter outfit for my son who is 5 as he is desperate to go fishing and want to supprise him at Xmas but want something that ain't going to fall to bits
 
The salt mpv gets my vote! I bought my son one after the lads on here recommended it! I even nicked it in the summer catching coleys and small bass! Its surprisingly pokey and even handles 5oz with a careful lob! And he pulled a 5lb thornie out with it :o

Hi Deano I have a 20lb class rod 6ft and it has a glass tip so you can see any bite. It will cast just about any size weight you want (with in reason )

He'll love it deano yeah church banks very comfy or you could try brighams net the ferry landing in South Shields the wooden platforms perfect for the kids and there's seats if he's tired off catching loads of fish :D
