Found this on another forum mate hope it helps
Leave Kirkcudbright by the A 711 coast road to Dalbeattie, less than a mile along this road there is a sharp left hand turn at a wee bridge. Instead of turning left, take care and go accross to the unclassified road that runs parallel with the shoreline of the bay. Roughly about a mile and a half along this road you will see a large pond on the right side. At this point, park your car on the verge on the left hand side. Climb over the fence and skirt the right hand side of the pond, go thru gate keeping to left of field walking alongside wood. At top of field go over another gate ( this has a damaged top ) and head foreward and left towards the sea. a coastal path is easily followed and Torrs point is the big rock which goes furthest out to sea and is easily accessed.
Expect dabs to be the main species, perhaps a doggie or two, and maybe even a surprise fish. You are fishing onto a pure sand bottom. There is another route via a track which you can walk from the far side of the pond, but I find the one I described first to be easier. good luck.
