Landing nets
Landing nets
Kenny,
you will need a knotless mesh whatever.( Legal req.).
I would get an oval / pan match net, Alloy ring 'Y ' neck, (They Bend, Carbon Breaks). & you will stand on it !

Daiwa, Image, Keenets, do cheap, but good versions. Spend your money on the landing net handle, stiffer the better, floppy ones are a nightmare if you have to lift a decent fish. Try not to lift at length, but pull back, sliding the fish back, it will fold into the net, then lift at short range. Remember you should not have your rod/ pole vertical to a fish at your feet, if a good fish goes for it, your rod can't bend as it should, which could rip the hook, even snap the tip of your rod. Slide him over the net at a comfortable distance out, then pull the net back to your feet.
Just looked on E-bay...maver f1 match net £13, but from a £5.
Garbolino viper take apart, ( Better than Tele.), 3m or 4m £12.95 to £14.95 !
If you said £ 20 all in, for one that will last !
