Lat & Longs for Google Earth

Any idea how I convert Lat & Longs into a format that Google Earth can understand??

For example:

Lat: 55.01.18

Long: 001.23.27

If I put: 55.01.18, 001.23.27

It doesn't like it...

try putting in n in front of the lat, w in in front of long....also 0 after the last figures to make it 3 digit...........hope that helps

Adding a 0 is close ...but not accurate.

The two figure digit works on a factor of sixty. The three figure didgit is a factor of 100.

So for example a figure ending 30 should equate to a decimal figure of .500 (ie half a second)

So if .001 = aprox 17 mtrs you would be .200 out if you add a 0 to the 30 and therefore 340M away from your intended mark....Close but no cigar.

Its rather annoying that the uk uses WGS 84 and it seems everyone else uses something else.

Cheers
