late report 28th whitley

me scotty n my brother went down to cullercoats with there being a nice sea on but didn't have a bite in over an hour and with another three people there and them not getting anymore than a soaking (standing dangerously close with waves crashing into them??) we decided to move to whitley. well with no size cod to my name i didn't have any hope. went straight down from the boat ramp nxt to spanish city and cast about 30-40 yards infront of the breakers into the calm(ish) water, few small taps and FISH ON!
only fish of the night but i'm buzzing 2 1/2 pound and my first size this year and first off the beach. taken a rotten mix of mush blacks mussel makky rag squid u name it.

well done ozzy bet scotty was jealous,bet you had loads of sand in your reel hope you rinsed it or it will be grinding next time. davy.

I was carefull to place it down and wiped it down afterward its my battered one anyway I just love pics of fish and rod n reel together. aye well last time scotty had 4 cod one after another while I had nout so it was my turn!
