launch sites for skininggrove

Your two safest launches are Hartlepool and Whitby for skinning grove...with hartlepool being the closest.
Hartlepool charge 25 quid for a day launch...never even ask you for insurance ...which just about sums up their rip off attitude IMHO.
You could launch at saltburn...but its an iffy launch if you dont have a tractor...and hit and miss with the weather. Theres a couple of other potential launch sites but they are not listed on boatlaunch.co.uk and I have not tried them personally so am not prepared to comment.
Ring hartlepool marina for launch details but only recon on 2 1/2 hours either side of high tide as they force us little boats to launch on the outside ramp...the reason I dont launch there no more.

Abirch,
I now use sunderland which is a good all tides launch but they only have an annual fee of 95 quid. Its within reach of skinning grove.
Another option is seaham which is run by the boat club.
PM member braine for details of that or he may post a link if he sees this. Once again this an annual launch fee.
