Fishing off Cullercoats from 8am 1pm, but things were really slow, with only two fish off the hard ground and one off a wreck. The tide was hardly moving at any time, with the wreck staying on the sounder for some time.
So just a short video instead of photo's, click below. God, I look a right clip in that hat...........

Nice video m8 of you pulling in a canny cod marra but where did you get that hat as you look like farmer Giles ha-ha but never mind that its what you go out there to do and thats fishing so well done m8.:D:D:D:D
 
Enjoyed watching your video Canman. Frustrated at the moment as I'm waiting to get my engine looked at. Would have been ideal today (Tuesday), but never mind, watching your video keeps me appetite going.
Can I ask you what make of rod and reel you are using as it looks very light. I have stared fishing as light as is possible (6 - 12lb boat rod with ABU 6000 reel), and I often take a spinning rod as well. Catching cod to 6lbs on this sort of tackle is an experience not to be missed.

Hi Baza, the rod on the video is 12-20lb Sonik 3 which I use if I have a lead filled pirk on, but most times I use a Sonik 3, 6-12lb. Both rods are great to use as they both have great tip action.
The reel is a carpmarster 5000 gt loaded with 40lb braid picked up at a car booty for next to nowt as is the other reel on the lighter rod.:)
 
Nice one Arthur, i have just booked a days leave in for Wedensday so i will be out in the morning after seeing the word SMOOTH on the forcast...shame was too late to get the crew on board thou due to working.

Must be great to have 7 days a week you can fish err :)

I've been looking at your other videos also, the pollack one is fantastic....never seen it before, I realy enjoyed it.
Nowt wrong with your hat either.....stops your lugs and heed getting burnt so jobs a good one.

I want a boat now haha!!

There's nowt wrong with that hat Arthur, it matches your dungarees . Well done on the cod, it's a lovely looking clean fish, you did well finding it; fishing has been a bit lean recently.

Dungarees Kevin:eek: should have gone to specksavers, they're chest waders.:rolleyes::rolleyes::D
