With a few worms and prawns in the fridge and the wind dropped somewhat, headed out for a couple of hours this morning around the can off Whitley. A couple of baited hooks sent down, and within a minute, a small codling of a pound and a quarter, then followed by a double shot of fish of a similar size.

Soon to follow a codling 2lb+ then a nice size pouting.

All too soon, the tide slowed right down and the fishing too at around 9-30
ended up with 9 kept fish so headed back in as the freshening southerly wind against the flood tide would make it a bumpy ride back.

So, the signs are looking better than they were in April.
