Looked out the bedroom window at 6am, the trees were motionless, so a quick peck on the cheek to the missus, and a "Ill see you later"
and I was quickly getting the boat ready. Well, I say quickly, by the time the cover is taken off, and the electronics fitted, rods, bait, tackle box, etc: etc: breaky, bog, it was 7-30am before I got launched
.
Straight out to a wreck lying in 100ft of water and tooled up with an ultra light rod and spinning reel with a 40gm macky lure on the end.
First drift dropping the lure straight on top of the wreck, wholop! straight in, nice codling nudging 5lb

After a few drifts I had 4 fish, made possible using a small lure by no wind and just a slow/medium drift.
All to soon, the wind started picking up, which made that style of fishing impossible.
So headed inshore to fish with a two hook flapper rig baited with frozen softies at anchor.
Again, first drop, straight into fish, a wrasse.

A few more codling came up, kept eight, and put a canny few back.
Top of the tide was enough to call it a day, as the bites were slowing right down, as were the size of the fish.
All very enjoyable..........till next time, thanks for reading.
A short video over the Wreck.
