LEFT OVER LUG

After a fishing session last week, me & Ian had a lot of blow lug left over. They were excellent quality and were huge.
Rather than just \"setting them free\".....I gutted them and took them home to stick in the freezer - wrapping them like runny.
Anybody done this with big blow lug?
Are they useable when defrosted?.....or....
Do they just go to mush when they thaw?

Have tried this my self and it worked ok just leaves a tar on your hands like runny .can be a bit messy.

tony my dad gets all my left over bnait if i know i cant get a line out for one reason or another he freezes it all straight onto hooks uses bait elastic and keeps for weeks hes had success for years doing this even had a 7ilb cod this year using it my biggesat this year was only six and a half see hes a tight bugger telling me to get all types of bait cos he knows he gets all my leftovers he must owe me thousands lol

Tony, Bait up some pennels with it, wrap in cling film then bang it in the freezer. Take a couple out with you in a foood flask during your next cod session and it gives you a bait to use straight away while you set up the rest of your gear - I\'ve had fish to 5lb on it.

I\'ve done the baiting up and freezing \"on the hook\" before........just at 5:00am, after 10 hours fishing, I couldn\'t be bothered with that.......lol

Just gutted \'em and wrapped them individually in newspaper and stuck them in the freezer.
