Well guys a piece of filleted Ling came out of the freezer for my tea tonight.
I have to say it was very nice lightly fried in batter in the pan, with some chips and peas.
Not as nice as cod. But still very tasty.
First time i have had this species.
I've still got some in the freezer myself...prob' just as well I kept some, coz I never really contributed much to the boat (fish wise) after that first eventful trip out....I feel some more fish cakes coming on
I had some sausages for my tea tonight and Treacle my Staffie bitch got some of the Ling left over from yesterday.
I hoyed this onto the George Foreman grill and after a couple of mins it looked spot on. Treacs enjoyed it.
Missus would,nt eat any cos it was,nt cod.
