Well if it was ever to be broken it was going to come from the Shetlands thats for sure, they seem to get 30lb+ ling like we get the 6-8lbers here.

Our best was 14lb, i say ours cos i had it part way in and the rod slipped and crushed a nut 
.....so i handed the rod to Big Tel and he got it in the rest of the way up while i stood cross legged and goggly eyed...

Pussy! It'd take more than a crushed nut for me to hand over the rod with a double on the end
I never weigh ling , probably because they never seem to be above about 6 or 7lb , I'm after a big one this year though
If I hook one any where near that size (67lb
) and by some miracle get it to the surface next to the boat....................... How the hell do I get it in the boat

It was crushed that bad it had to be removed Ray
....it's been replaced with a 14oz boat lead......
