loch etive

Over the bridge. Immediately turn right and drive till you run outa road. Bout 30 mins. Park up and walk left along path for about twenty mins.

as black rat said turn first right over the bridge and along the single track road for 8 miles following the brown signs for bonawe you also pass other marks on this road such as the priory, slipway ect there is a carpark just outside the quarry gates where you can park.when the quarry is closed you can just walk through it you can fish between the mounds of tarmac into the loch when we were there a few weeks back a local on a kayak came to say hello and told us that it was best fished at night as it was only 80ft deep  just 20yrds out, if you keep walking along the road through the quarry for a mile and a half you will come to the flat rock which is over 150ft deep within casting distance and a better chance of fish during the day i would recomend using large iluminous beads near your hook to attract the fish it also means less chance of your hook getting bitten off by spurdogs

beads like these http://www.fishingmegastore.com/mustad-glow-oval-beads~2068.html

I have blanked up there the last 3 trips 2- shore 1-boat between 5 of us and 2rods each only 2 doggies have been caught but that's nearer the bridge, hope you do ALOT better than wee did, back up there a week on saturday for more punishment

The worst (or best) thing about it is the 1 doggie that got caught on sat was caught on a GULP ragworm that was just cast out and left on the bottom for an hour, the day before i had a discussion that I didn't think it was possible to catch on an artificial static bait

i went up 2 years ago trying to find the querry we fished next to it we had smooth houds up to 7lb must of hit a shawl

Meant to say there is a pic of my big mate with a spurdog in my profile album if that helps identify, I may be wrong about smooth hound but have fished up there for a while now.
Cheers Ross

we were catching spurdogs and doggys iam hoping to go up a few times though the summer

Maybe bump into you on your travels mate we are up there roughly every 2-3 weeks from now till october :) My pb shore spur is 6lb6oz the heaviest caught for our wee club last year was 10lb4oz

hopefully going to get catch some makeral for bait think it might be a bit early for it i will take a few feathers up

Sometimes we stop at inverary and fish off the pier for them on the way up but that'll not be happening for at least another month,

Just after the connel bridge without going over it and heading about 1/4 mile past there's a bit of a point sticking out (facing towards windsock) basically trying other side just for a change, and hopefully a change of luck :)

Ended up fishing at the windsock, not a fish between the 7 of us 2 rods each I missed a good bite and my uncle's rod got pulled out the rest but also missed :(
back up in 2 weeks going to try along at the church or quarry next time.
