Have heard a rumour on the "vine" that the locks are being worked on this week all week...

...have also been told that a boat owner was advised to not make weekend plans until given the nod by RQ that the locks are going to be ready by the weekend :o

Lock will be completed overhaul by Friday . No Probs for the weekend .... breathe easy

(I`ve been down today to check progress) :)

Mind, this was the sight out from Royal Quays with the bank of fog decending ...... (may be flying on instruments only at the weekend :) )

Well i am heading down at 8am with a newbie fisherman onboard, going to try around the south pier then 2 wrecks 2.8 and 3 miles off the Tyne then its a decicion of North or south for rough ground work....will give you's a buzz about 9am and see how you lot doing.

Weather i have seen is 8-10mph west wind until 2-3pm then building to 18mph west swinging sw in late afternoon with odd shower.

Just be nice to wet aline and better if my mate catches a codling on his first trip out.

I will be down from 1.30pm until 6pm Friday as well Norman, doing the old sanding of the teak wood job after the winter frosts.
