Hi lads, as title suggests I'm looking to change my fishing boat. Currently own an old boat and engine and looking for something a bit newer for around 6k.
Any one selling at the mo.

There will be some good boats coming up for sale for that amount as winter approaches.....:)

Are you looking for something like a Reiver Sportsman with a 4 stroke

I have mine for sale on the net and in the sale section on NESA but will be out your price range if your looking at around 6k

Ye jester something just like that would be great.
Stingray looks a great boat and would love to buy her, but well out of my price range.

Nice boats the reivers through the water like a hot knife on butter what i will say is go for a boat with a decent engine that has plenty of power to suit boat and not been hammered with miles as for me the one of the most important things is your engine along with life jackets as both can save your life

I'll keep an eye out for you, there might be one coming up for sale at Seaham Marina, dont know much about the boat, just heard the lad was thinking about selling it, i'll let you know if anything happens...:)

I bet that oil tanker that grounded on the way up north is going cheap lol we could all go fishing on it!!!

Hi marky mark, I don't know a great deal about the reiver sportsman except that they are popular among fishermen, so must be good. Can they fish with 3 or 4 anglers or is it best designed for 2.

Possibly Mark, lost a bit interest just now:confused:

:o Can you remember what you said to me when i sold the Merry Fisher, Arthur

I can't either :D ....but it was something along the lines of..."You'll regret it " and i did.....

Dont do it....:( we'll miss your reports...

never put a report on for quite a while Chris, just lost a bit motivation lately, probably just the way fishing is lately, but hey, what's to say I won't be back at a later date...........but at the moment, it's just a great boat sitting on the drive collecting dust, so if anyone is interested, give me a P.M.

Sorry to hear that Arthur :(, i know what you mean though.... put it up for sale in the advert section, if the price is right it will go..no bother..:)

Know what you mean never been without a boat since I was in my twenties, sixty now fished all over the North East coast including the graveyard, spent a lot of time fishing the south west of Scotland but the fishing was getting that bad compared to years ago I lost my motivation happy shore fishing at the moment no hassle sold up last year never know might start again, Ps the Reiver Sportsman is a great boat remember when Alan was designing it very well built boat.

Gives the person an option, very few people purchase a boat and end up spending the money they expected...most the time its more to get what you wish...:)

Hi Phil, we have had ours quite a few months now. It's a cracking boat, you wouldn't regret getting one. We fish 3 in ours all the time and its comftable. Have also fished with 4 on with no bother at all.
Good luck pal
