Looking to go out for a bit of flattie / bass fishing of a beach after work 2nite. Are there any marks around Sunderland worth a go with some light gear?
Fished for the first 2 1/2 hours of the flood. Big fat el blanco, not even a knock. Maybe try later on the tide next time. Still, it was a lovely night, and it looks a likely spot for the dark cold nights with all the rocks and kelp about. Cod?
wouldnt hold ya breath to catch cod at the rock itself, u wanna get into the 2nd bay, very very snaggy but thats where the cod are i got a 5lb and 4lb there last bank holiday..... but ya do get some big flats from the rock with rag tipped with macky
