Hi lads bit of a late report.I fished the pier in the tynemouth area "wink wink" on sunday night i managed to get my self 6 fish which were 5 codling and 1 colie. The bigest cod was 3 to 3 and a half pound then 3 around the 2 to 2 and a half pound mark. The colie was under size and so was the last codling.I caught all my fish on crab using a size five o pennel rig of the back wall.the other 2 lads a fished with got 2 under size colies all in all i had a canny night

the the first seat just past the four posts there was 3 ov us were u on like

no i was on saturday night i was just wondering where you were fishing. thats probably the best spot for big fish but i wouldn't fancy pulling a big'un up there

Went past you on the way to the end mate, you picked the right place, nowt doing despite the excellent conditions.

Do you loss much gear fishing at that spot?
i usually fish off the end into the sea or near the end into the river mouth and it's not that snaggy.

Cheers

as long as you've got a ok cast you'll be fishing onto clean sand with rocks either side but you have to reel in fast as there's some huge rocks over the side (pier foundations)

Did anyone see my mate Geordie's testicle hanging from the top of a structure which looks like "A Gate" he left it there last year and wants it back, he's only got 3 left ;)

Is 100-120 yards far enough? thats prob as far as i can get with a cod size bait and 5 oz gripper.. my 535 winds in like a rocket so should lift above the rocks ok.
