Lure Challenge 2014

was going to head out today, but changed mind when saw the rain this am
typical suns out now and stuck in work

may hit one of the piers tomorrow, anyone going to be out?

Will be out with the fly rod on Sunday it might be my only chance to be top of the table lol

Rugby season not over yet, still coaching every weekend up into May
Then I can start the serious fishing

going to have a crack for bass on the fly
Have caught back down home, but never tried up here

I was out today down Blyth pier, hoping that it wouldn't have been too affected by the freshwater from the recent rain and be able to start of my lure species list. Water was still very coloured and the dredger was working the area so it was very hard going. I had one bite on a lure that didn't connect and one small coley on a bit of black lug. Others were doing equally as bad :(

Well lads, because you all seem so shy, here's one to get the ball rolling. Rainbow trout caught on a cats whisker lure.:)

I think my tiny pollack may turn out to be a coalie lol.
A little flounder came up to the surface but I couldn't get a rig in front of it quick enough before it went back down again, first time I've seen a flattie do that.

Here's 2 I got on Sunday. A Coley and, correct me if I'm wrong, a LS Sea Scorpion.
