had a couple of sessions on the pier and picked up these three species:-

quality crap due to livley coalie and i wanted to get it straight back alive and kicking

coalie and mackerel caught on dexter wedge and sandeel caught on small
50mm white sandeel

ok nice one mate, are u putting up sandeel different to launce? just seen on table.

are we just classing all sandeel/launce as one species for the table?

im not sure if we get diff types of sandeel round here:- lesser sandeel greater sandeel etc

Yeah i think we'll leave them different, Sandeel (lesser sandeel Ammodytes tobianus) and Launce (greater sandeel Hyperoplus lanceolatus)

Down Blyth pier again early this morning, had to wait until I got home to take a pic after forgetting the camera and mobile Had a coalie aswell but only kept the couple of mackeral I got so I'll have to make sure to have a camera in future!

Taken on the usual daylights and spinner combo.

here is the photo of the pollack ...the lateral line should confirm it as pollack....was real awkward taking photos....

and here is a photo of the sandeel /launce caught earlier that ended

up as bait ...

same here, I ain't been out for a few weeks, going bassing next sunday

That's my summer target mate can't wait to get out and try for some Bass, bet I blank lol. I was on the pier today a couple of hours got myself a few macky and more Launce, so that's 2 for me on the table now joint bottom haha, caught using silver ghost lure.
