The way the weather has been over this side for weeks, E'ly breezes, flat seas, clear water etc I just wanted to get on a beach and blast a few casts so Tuesday headed to Lynemouth.
Fished on the beach about half way along. The forecast (XC weather) was spot on. Flat calm/foggy to start and as the tide started flood the wind picked up to F4-5 from the SSE.
2 rods on the go yellow tails/squid/razors on pulley's/up an overs. Didn't get a bite. Fished from 12 until 1830.
That's the 3rd time at Lynemouth/Lyneburn without much success, great looking fishing beach and I'm sure it has its day.
Plenty of bait left yesterday and a strong ESE wind so thought it might be a decent day for Blyth pier.On getting there it looked spot on.
Fished between the bend and the end from 1200-1800. Not a lot doing. I saw 2 or 3 small codlins pulled up and I got a small one meself about 1700.
Not the best of results for the effort and 10 gallons or so of petrol but that's fishing.
